Every quote includes comprehensive insurance and a professional chauffeur where selected. Fuel is charged at cost or included on request for fixed itineraries. Rates fall for weekly and monthly rentals, and we confirm a firm, all-inclusive price in writing before you travel.

Yes, 24 hours a day. Your chauffeur monitors the flight, meets you in the arrivals hall with a name board, helps with luggage and drives you to any hotel or residence in Kigali. The airport is roughly 20 minutes from the city centre. Departures include a courtesy pick-up time based on your flight and live traffic.

Yes. You need a valid driving licence held for at least two years, a passport, and to be 21 or older (25 for our luxury SUVs). An International Driving Permit is recommended and effectively required if your licence is not in English or French. Rwanda drives on the right, roads between major towns are paved and well maintained, and police checkpoints are routine and courteous. We brief every self-drive guest before handover.

Our chauffeurs are salaried, uniformed and protocol-trained, with clean records and years of experience on Rwandan roads. All speak English and Kinyarwanda, most speak French, and Swahili is available on request. For multi-day trips outside Kigali, the chauffeur's accommodation and meals are arranged by us and quoted transparently.

For Volcanoes National Park (about 2.5 hours from Kigali), Akagera National Park (about 2.5 hours) and Nyungwe Forest (about 5 hours) we recommend the Toyota Land Cruiser V8 or Prado TX-L. Both are genuine 4×4s with the ground clearance the trailhead tracks require, and can be fitted with a pop-up roof, cool box and roof rack. We can also combine the car with our concierge tours and permit arrangements.

We also provide guest shuttles and executive vans for the wedding party.

Comprehensive insurance, unlimited mileage within Kigali, 24/7 roadside assistance, a replacement vehicle in the rare event of a breakdown, delivery and collection anywhere in Kigali, and, for chauffeur-driven hire, the chauffeur's time within the agreed hours. Fuel, park fees and out-of-town chauffeur allowances are quoted separately so you only pay for what you use.
